| Having been elected to his third term in the North Carolina General Assembly, Bob Atwater represents the 18th District, which includes Lee, Chatham and a portion of Durham counties.
He is co-chair of the Senate Agriculture/Environment/Natural Resources Committee, co-chair of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and Information Technology and a member of Senate committees dealing with base budget appropriations, finance, health care, the judiciary, pensions, retirement and aging.
