| A member of the Sanford Planning Board before his election to the Sanford City Council, Linwood Mann has lived in Lee County for 62 years and resides in the Jonesboro Heights section of the city. As part of his council duties, he works with the Sanford Housing Authority and the Sanford-Lee County Regional Airport Authorty.
Mann graduated from Jonesboro High School and briefly attended Wake Forest University. He is past president and stockholder of Mann's Hardware in Sanford and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Now, the councilman is employed by Lowe's Home Improvement.
Away from work, Mann is involved in the American Legion and Jonesboro Heights Methodist Church. He enjoys all sports, loves to travel and spends plenty of time working in his yard. He has a daughter, Paula Porter, and a son, Stan Mann Jr.
