After serving on the town board for six years, Bob Stevens was named town manager in 2000 and continues to work on several important projects, including the return of local reimbursements. Stevens has lived in Broadway for all but nine years of his life, graduating from Sanford Central High School in 1967 and earning his B.A. from Elon College in 1971.
He serves as an elder and Sunday School superintendent for Broadway Presbyterian Church, and is past chairman of the Broadway Economic Development Council. When he is not busy with town or civic activities, Stevens enjoys golfing and spending time with family — his wife, Marty; their two adult children, son Forrest and daughter Sarah; and granddaughter Mary Della. |
