| Appointed to the city council in February 2006 to fill the balance of an unexpired term, Mike Stone was elected in November 2007 to the seat he was holding.
Stone has been owner of O'Connell's Supermarket in the Jonesboro section of Sanford since purchasing the landmark supermarket in the mid 1990s.
