Scheduled for Apr. 23, noon, at Chef Paul's Cafˇ and Catering in Sanford, the gathering also includes a luncheon, an update on local economic issues and a brief review of ongoing committee projects. Discussion on local challenges and opportunities for business will be led by a panel, scheduled to include Glenn Davis, executive director of Central Carolina Hospital; Joe Clancy, plant comptroller of Wyeth Vaccines; and Nagib Nasr, plant manager for Moen. "This meeting will be a good opportunity to learn about what is happening at these local businesses and consider what we can do to promote opportunity in the coming months," said John Daniel, president of the Committee of 100. "With the recession finally coming to an end, there will be some new opportunities available to all of us," Daniel said. "We need to figure out how to take advantage of them."
