LEE COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION Southern Base of the Research Triangle Region NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Wednesday, August 20, 2008 'CAROLINA BUSINESS REVIEW' WITH PANELIST BOB HEUTS DELAYED UNEXPECTEDLY BY UNC-TV SANFORD -- The episode of "Carolina Business Review" with panelist Bob Heuts, director of the Lee County Economic Development Corp. -- scheduled by its producers to air statewide this past weekend -- was delayed unexpectedly by UNC-TV. The show was taped on Friday, Aug. 15 in Charlotte, and is now slated to air on Sunday, Aug. 24, at 12:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 1:30 a.m. "Carolina Business Review" is the longest running and most widely watched syndicated program on business and industry in the Carolinas. Hosted by Chris William, the weekly television show reviews recent business news and analyzes economic trends. Producers believed the show would run, as planned, this past Sunday. But associate producer DeAnna Wallace said UNC-TV informed her on Tuesday that the network was running shows one week behind schedule. Also appearing with Heuts are special guest Chris Browning, president of Darlington (S.C.) Raceway, and panelist Matt Kennell, president and CEO of Center City Columbia (S.C.). Guest host for the episode is Sharon Decker, founder and principal of The Tapestry Group, a faith-based, nonprofit organization with headquarters in Rutherfordton. The Lee County Economic Development Corp. is a nonprofit organization established to attract industry, enhance job opportunities and promote sound planning across Lee County.
